Happy Mother's Day

There are certain things we always do when family comes to visit. You know, like family traditions. Every family has them I'm sure. One tradition is that Ma'ma and Papa come every year for the annual golf tournament at the school. This was Mitchells first year to get to golf in the tournament. Hail and all.

Another very important tradition is, that if there is a truck on the premises, we put it to work. If Papa's going to drive his truck all the way from Texas, then there must be a project to get done with it. Like, maybe haul a half ton of rocks to put in yet another flower bed. Because really, can you have too many?

The other projects they completed within the 48 hours they were here were too numerous to mention, but I'm starting to think I know why Uncle Glenn and Aunt Kim didn't get to come this time. We finished installing all of the new doorknobs, so I think it might be safe for you to visit now.
And what fun it was to have Ma'ma here here to celebrate Mother's Day a week early!

One of my boys gave their Ma'ma a mother's day card that said, "I love you because..." One of the reasons said, "because you raised my dad, and he's the best dad ever." That says a lot about Ma'ma.

Happy Mother's Day to Ma'ma Jody and Grandma Shirley. We wish you were here to celebrate with us this weekend, and if you were, we promise we wouldn't put you to work on Mother's Day.
