His neurologist explained to Conner that although he is doing MUCH better, he still is not well enough to play tackle football, because he could get injured since he is not 100% yet. He went into a long explanation about how if Conner gets injured now, then he wouldn't be able to play professional football later. (Thank you Neurologist for your kindness in explaining it to him!)
Anyway, as we left the doctors office, Conner closed the door behind him, and said, "I don't care what that doctor says, I'm playing football." I laughed and said, "And THAT Conner, is why you're doing as well as you are."
For now, we will only let him play flag football, but that alone is a miracle.
All I know is that God gave this red headed little boy a fiery attitude for a reason, and I will never question that again. Last year at this time, he was learning to walk and couldn't catch a ball, and was using his left hand to throw. For his birthday last week, he picked out football pants, and so he now walks around in full pads most of the time. This Mama's heart is THANKFUL.
