I Will Hold You With My Victorious Right Hand

Isaiah 41:10 "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you with my victorious right hand."

I know that so many of you are looking for an update on Conner, and I wanted to let you know that he is home from the hospital. As Beth Ann said, "Super Conner went out in style" riding in his little red wagon. This past week has been the most blessed week, and most difficult week of our entire lives, and God was there with us every moment.

The pictures above speak for themselves of how God sent friends to pray over Conner for his healing. The first picture above is of Mrs. Moore, Conners kindergarten teacher at Providence Academy who came with her family to the hospital to check on Conner and pray for him.

The second is of Mrs. Hilliard and Mrs. Russell, part of the PCCA family. The third is of Jason and Molly Ross, the headmaster of the school and his wife who came to pray for him. And finally, the last is of the Providence 8th grade moms. If you notice, he couldn't even keep his eyes closed during that prayer because they had him in stitches, or was it the other way around?

I had prayed with my friend Analucia Jackson the night before on the phone, and she had prayed specifically that his room would be "a room of laughter at the hospital." The next day, he came alive with a little help from the Providence moms, and let's just say that Conners performance of "Boom Chick A Wow-Wow" from his hospital bed will go down in history.

So many have prayed for Conner, starting with Providence Academy, Dallas Baptist University, countless churches in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and Florida. I have truly witnessed a miracle this week. Conner left the hospital too weak to walk to the front door, and even since he has been home, we are seeing improvement every single day.

Conner still needs a miracle for complete healing. He still does not have use of his right arm yet, but please pray with us that he will have complete restoration of his health.

Conner will start physical and occupational therapy this week, and hopefully start back to school a few hours at a time possibly next week. Today, he started learning to color with his left hand so that he can use it until his right hand is working properly. I have never seen a more determined little guy. He hasn't once complained, or even wondered if he was going to get better. He only speaks of "when I get better, I'm going to play football."

It was so funny because when he was having his EEG, he had wires all over his head. The nurses were talking to him, and they got so tickled because he told them that he needed to hurry up and get out of the hospital because there was a new Sports Academy by his house, and when he got back to Northwest Arkansas, his Daddy was going to take him to buy a new football helmet. They thought it was so funny coming from a little boy who couldn't even walk or move for that matter.

I know that Conner will testify one day of how God has performed a miracle in his life. As we were driving home from the hospital, he said, "When I grow up, I DO NOT want to be a doctor so that I can help people." "I want to do a WAY more AWESOMER thing." "I want to be a preacher so I can tell people about the LORD."

Enough said. We serve an amazing God. He will hold us with His victorious right hand. He will strengthen us and help us in our time of need. Praise God.
